Todays Gazette is brought to you by the best darn furniture store in
North Dakota. ~~~ Landowski's Furniture Store ~~~
Located on the west edge of Grafton.
Celebrating their 6th anniversary with a FABULOUS STOREWIDE
SALE
------------------------
The current temperature is 5 degrees.
Yesterdays H/L temperature was 17/2
Normal H/L temp on this date is 22/5
It was 56 degrees on this date in 1990
We can expect as much as three inches of "lake effect" snow today and
tonight. We already have more than enough snow to build Frosty the
Snowman, and, a friend for everyone that Frosty knows.

L O C A L news & stuff,.. mostly stuff.
--------------------------
It is true. Grafton is located north of the daily paper. It is also
true that Grafton is the largest United States city between Grand Forks
and Winnipeg. Even though we are one of the smallest large towns in
North Dakota, we do have a whole lot to be proud of.
If you have watched the national news lately, you must have noticed a
company called Republic Windows and Doors closed their doors. Of course,
everyone agrees it's unfortunate when any business fails. Fortunately
for us in the Grafton area, and the folks in the Warroad Mn. area,
Marvins Windows and Doors are not only a very vibrant family run
business. The Marvins Windows and Doors - the nations largest of it's
kind - operation is currently doubling the floor plan of their Grafton
facility. AND,... not only, are they not asking for money, they
"voluntarily" share their profits with all the folks that are employed
there as well.
Certainly when business is brisk, there is much more to share.
Conversely, when not so brisk, there simply is less to share. However,
it is my understanding, that everyone "always" knows where they stand at
Marvins,...... always.
So, I hope, if you are thinking of adding an addition to your
facilities or maybe even building a new one. Please consider using
Marvins Windows and Doors to fill the holes you look and walk through.
AND, if by chance you have any questions or concerns with any of Marvins
products. I can assure you, they have a stable of experts that can
address and resolve any concern you may have.
THEN, when you get your new home built, B&D Flooring can install just
exactly the kind of floor covering your lifestyle demands. WHEN the
building is done and the floors are all finished, contact Landowski's
Furniture in Grafton. Julie and her staff will assist you with all your
furnishing needs.
Now then,... Marvins Windows and Doors can and will deliver almost
anywhere around the world. However, B&D Flooring and Landowski's
Furniture's delivery area is somewhat less.

Please mark your calendar and plan to attend the festivities at
Heritage Village. It looks like a date for the auction has been
established. It will also give everyone ample time to get their auction
articles together and delivered to the Village.

Thanks a million for caring and sharing Verna and thanks for helping
keep Heritage Village a warm and wonderful place to visit.

Of all the things I know very little about. I must admit, Carols and
candles would be right up there with the most I know the littlest about.
However, I did receive the following "note" from my friend Chris and so
I'll pass it on hoping everyone else knows what it's all about. Chris

Hi Gary, Just a reminder, Grafton Lutheran Church will be hosting their
annual Carols and Candles this Sunday evening, Dec.14, at 7 p.m. at the
church. Everyone is invited to join together at the Grafton Lutheran
Church to worship this holiday season! Have a great day, Gary.

Thank you for caring and sharing Chris. That's the funny part of
information. If somebody doesn't tell somebody something. Nobody knows
anything, about anything. Or so it seems to me.
