L O C A L news & stuff,.. mostly stuff

The Real Estate folks must have been really (pardon the pun)
busy the last few days. I've noticed several new SOLD signs all over
town.
------------------------
I've heard tell of a restaurant that uses place mats with
this inscription:
"4,076 people died of gas last year.
"29 inhaled it. "47 put a match to it.
AND, the other 4,000, stepped on it.

Several window display's up and down Graftons main street are not
only pleasing to look at. They are starting to take on the appearance of
the rapidly approaching holiday season.
As one drives down "Main" from the south, Stitches Embroidered
Apparel, Golden Harvest Jewelry, Mary's Ladies Fashion and Town &
Country Flowers truely enhance the look of the 600 block.
Embroidery Plus, Dollar Sense, The Squire Shop and the Grafton Drug have
all worked vigorously to make their store front windows aesthetically
pleasing.
I think the buying public really appreciates the window displays
in those businesses with large, clear glass, store front showcases.

Thanks a million Rick & Marilyn Mont and Marty & Anne Riske for
your very generous contributions to the medical fund for Jillian
Demester. Although it will be long, sometime hard,... and, a bit bumpy.
With your help, and that of so many others, Jill is on the road to
recovery. For that, we are all thankful.

Hi Gary
I just want to thank you for the wonderful saying you had about
your mother is always with you. It has been a month and half since my
mom passed away and it has been a tough road, especially now with her
house sold, it is a good thing and bad thing. The couple that are
purchasing it is a nice young couple. It just isn't home without Mom and
Dad there, but the memories in that house are priceless and will always
be with us. Have a great Thanksgiving. Marcia Molde Seeba <<<
Thanks a million for caring and sharing Marcia. Mildred and Bennie
really haven't left us, they have only taken up residence in a much
better place. The home at 620 Prospect Avenue will always contain fond
memories for many of us.
-------------------------
To share a thought, exchange a memory or give reason to pause and
reflect is gratifying to say the least. I have learned that, "even tho,
I feel alone, 'someone' will always stand there with me. That friends,
who care, will always share, and lend a hand to help me."
Gary, I want to thank you for what you do!! It has been almost a
year since my Mom went home and the notes at the end of your Gazette
really hit home. Thanks a bunch..
Rick <<< Thanks Rick. Remember:
EACH OF US IS A VITAL THREAD IN ANOTHER PERSON'S TAPESTRY;
OUR LIVES ARE WOVEN TOGETHER FOR A REASON. One of the best things to
hold onto in this world is a friend.

When I received the following note, I found myself reading
it several times. First, of course, I was extremely pleased that I
received it. Then, I tried to think of what I might say, in it's regard.
How, I wondered, could I adequately put into words, the true feelings of
a loving sister, and a entire family who recently lost a love one..
Then it struck me. I couldn't. Certainly not as eloquently and as
specifically, as Agnes did. So,.. I am pleased to share with you the
following "thank you" from Agnes, a loving sister. >>>
HI GARY. WILL YOU THANK EVERYONE FOR BEING THERE FOR THE
BYZEWSKI AND BOLEK FAMILY, ON THE PASSING OF MY SISTER MARIE BYZEWSKI.
SHE WILL BE MISSED BY MANY. WE APPRECIATED ALL THAT WAS DONE FOR US.
Agnes Bolek

The Gazette works best, when the folks that read it, write it. Or
so it seems to me.
Write if you can, call if you can't, and, tell your loved ones they are,
before it's too late.
